Summer
Programme:
Details of YPC's successful summer
activity programme have been released. Call 01872 222447 for more
information: activities include, dance workshops, angling tuition,
visits and trips, BMXing, canoeing....
New Mobile Unit.
YPC will shortly be purchasing an
activity vehicle which will be fully equipped to support the delivery
of our youth work programmes across the county. Thank you to the
Clothworkers Foundation for this funding.
New Website on the Way.
YPC are currently working on the
development of a new interactive website which will enable young
people, staff and others to correspond on our site. Watch this space
for updates.
Inspire
Project.
Young People Cornwall are currently
recruiting for our Participation and Involvement project which has been
funded by The Big Lottery Fund. The project is due to start in January
2010.... watch this space for further news
The 'Z' Factor.
Young people from Zebs
have recently produced a third Zebs music CD featuring young artists
who access the project's youth work sessions. The CD is currently on
sale at Zebs or from YPC and features 12 tracks, many of which were
written by the young people themselves.
Friday &
Saturday Night Provision.
YPC centre- based projects at Zebs, Roche and
Illogan and
our outreach team in Truro are now open every Friday and Saturday night
thanks to funding from the DCSF through the Youth Sector Development
Fund.
All the projects provide young people
aged 13-19 years old with safe places to meet and socialise, enjoy
positive activities as well as opportunities to access information,
advice and guidance on a number of issues.
